On the back of a hard winter kicking musical ass all over Melbourne, Jeff Tynan, Xhambo and Sixty40 return to the Wesley Anne for the start of a monthly residency on Thursday, July 28th with special guests Dinochip.
Each month, we'll be inviting a special guest to join us on the Wesley Anne stage, and July will feature the whimsical strains of Dinochip, our favourite all-female folk duo. As the Wesley Anne's in-house fireplace warms your body, the tender nuance of their fingerpicked acoustic guitars and serene vocal harmonies will crackle away at your heart, and reduce your usual Thursday-evening stoicism to soggy emotional mess.
Luckily for you, Jeff Tynan's strident, heart-on-sleeve blend of folk and bluegrass will be there to mop you up and bring back your spirit in time for Xhambo's knockout electro-funk & supercharged soul vocals, and Sixty40's haunting fusion of deep electronic grooves, powerful lyrics and gut-busting dubstep saxophone.
